Sometimes your equipment has failed. More often the question is who you can get an answer out of.Sometimes the equipment in your office has failed. More often it is working perfectly, and what decides how long you are offline is whether anyone can get a straight answer out of the provider. That isn't a technical problem. It is usually the slower half.
What you may notice
- Nothing loads, on every device.
- The modem or router shows a fault light.
- Some services work and others don't.
- The connection drops and returns on its own.
- A neighbouring business is offline too.
Separate your equipment from the service you buy
We check the equipment, the cabling and the connection itself to establish whether the fault is inside your office. When it isn't, the useful work is different: having the account number, the service identifier and a fault reference to hand, and keeping the provider moving.
We can only chase a provider where you have authorised us on the account. Arranging that before an outage is worth more than anything we can do during one, and it costs nothing on a day when everything is working.
